Today marks Warriors Instinct MMA one year mark! Some days it seems like yesterday we started out with what we liked to call an “experiment” other days seems like we have been doing this forever. We have made a lot of new friends and added a large number to our family and everyday we continue to grow.
Warriors Instinct MMA appears on Tapology’s news feed, we have 5 other blogs that spread the news we post to our site and just recently partnered up with Legion Training Center in Clifton Park NY, let’s not forget we have begun adding AXS TV news as well. Seems like a lot but we want MORE for the fighters and events we cover and we are always trying to come up with new ideas and one of those ideas will be an announced soon, as we will be teaming up with a clothing sponsor so we can co-sponsor some of our local amateurs, exciting right! Now with all this growth debt is incurred and we lose money each and every month. So what the hell are we still doing this for?!?! We do it for YOU the amateur MMA fighters! We have the utmost respect for each and everyone of you and always will.

Event Description
Cage Fury Fighting Championships brings top shelf MMA back to Atlantic City, New Jersey on October 26 at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa, with “CFFC 28″. Pro MMA fighters from around the East Coast will compete on an 11-bout card, including 2 title fights. This event promises to be CFFC’s best card yet as CFFC continues to bet and win big with their talented roster. In the main event, for the vacant CFFC Lightweight Title, Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman (18-5) fights Kyle “The Alley Cat” Baker (11-4). This fight was supposed to happen earlier this year, but Baker pulled out due to injury. Brenneman has looked like a world-beater ever since making the drop to 155 lb. Brenneman is a UFC vet who fought some of the top fighters in the welterweight division, but since becoming a lightweight in CFFC, Brenneman has looked unstoppable. This will be Brenneman’s toughest challenge in CFFC as his opponent is known for his ferocious style. Baker, a Bellator vet, is a feared fighter inside the cage because of his willingness to strike with anyone and has put to sleep some of the sports best. This promises to be a barnburner as these two gladiators will not stop until one of them is crowned champion. If Brenneman can use his wrestling ability to stifle Baker and keep the fight on the mat, then Brenneman will be at a decided advantage. But if Baker can connect with one of his legendary punches, the fight could turn on a dime.
In the co-main event, with the CFFC Heavyweight Title on the line, Champion Chris Birchler (5-0) puts his crown and undefeated record on the line against tough competitor Johnny Curtis (8-2). Birchler won the title in June and this will be his first title defense. Birchler is a beast of a man as he has dominated his previous opponents from bell to bell. He is a strong wrestler and grappler and uses excellent positioning while on the ground to score points but his standup game is equally as dangerous as he possesses pinpoint accuracy. The challenger Curtis is a rugged veteran who will bring an experience advantage into the cage having double the fights of Birchler. Curtis is on a 7-fight winning streak and has fought up and down the East Coast racking up an impressive record and making a name for himself as a fighter with tremendous grappling. Look for this fight to be a long drawn out war with both fighters having their moments to shine.
Be sure to catch all of the action LIVE on October 26 as “CFFC 28″ brings down the house on pay-per-view exclusively at GFL.tv. See the established and rising stars on the East Coast compete in front of some of the most avid fans. Be a part of the excitement and order this iPPV from the GFL Combat Sports Network.

With Tito Ortiz injured, Quinton Jackson still wants the fans to know he has the drive and determination to still fight, no matter who it may be!
Following today’s news that Tito Ortiz will miss his upcoming Bellator fight due to a neck injury he sustained while training, INSIDE MMA talked to his planned opponent Quinton “Rampage” Jackson about the news.
Said Jackson about his fight being canceled:
“If I’m going to keep it real, I would have said look, throw another opponent at me and still keep the pay-per-view because I’ve trained really hard for this. I had my knees fixed, I fixed my injury and I came back. Throw somebody in there like Kimbo Slice, Houston Alexander, anybody that’s in Bellator. Somebody different like Tyrone Spong. I don’t know, throw anybody in there, I’m ready for anybody. Throw in Chuck Liddell out of retirement. Put the pay-per-view on! I’m ready to go.”
Said Jackson about Ortiz’ injury:
“I texted Tito to make sure he was okay and he said he’s okay and he’s out for three months. That’s a real serious injury, to your neck, and I hope Tito a speedy recovery”
