It’s official the Hot Gate MMA fundraising event will be August 23, 2014 right at the gym located at 70 Tivoli Street in Albany New York. If you will be attending please head over and join the event on Facebook and spread the word. Tickets will be $25 at the door and all are welcome!

I will start off by letting everyone know we have reached out to a few people and agencies before posting this. By the poster above it says it all. A local promotion is advertising a fight that is being held tomorrow night in Amsterdam NY with pro fighters on the poster. As MMA Journalist has stated Marvin is a great guy and this poster is old, but it makes you wonder is this just advertising for ticket sales because both fighters are well versed in the sport and wouldn’t risk their careers.

September is looking like a great month for local professional MMA fighters. As you might already know Marvin “The Bulldog” Maldonado is set to fight on Bellator 123 card September 5, 2014 at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets are available through TicketMaster or you can contact Marvin directly. If you are unable to attend the fights will be live on Spike.

We told you the other day about the Hoodlum Fight Gear/Hobbs Strike Force Gym heading our way. But we didn’t tell you that the gym would be named Hot Gates MMA! That’s right the gym we spoke about is the same one. Now a lot of things will be rolling out in the next few days and we ask that you stay tuned for all the news. Right now we can tell you that there will be a fundraiser for the new gym August 23, 2014 and the price for tickets will be $25 per person. In the highly anticipated rematch between Malaipet Sasiprapa and Justin Greskiweicz, Sasiprapa emerged victorious, winning by unanimous decision at AXS TV FIGHTS: LION FIGHT 17 from the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Earlier in the night, Cosmo Alexandre and Jo Nattawut faced off in the co-main event, with Nattawut defeating Alexandre via split decision.
