If you did not attend Cage Wars 17 last evening, we feel bad for you because you missed an action packed card that was a true crowd pleaser. With thousands in attendance the Washington Avenue Armory was electrified with the pulse of the crowd, the warrior glare of the fighters and some of the best amateur mixed martial arts fights sanctioned by the U.S.M.T.A, presented by Cage Wars, Five Guys Fighting and sponsored by Atlas Jiu Jitsu and Design by Jewel . Now for the results of the fights as they appeared in order:
Greg Dwyer (winner via unanimous decision) vs. Nick Fonte

Walt Wheeler (winner 2nd round TKO) vs. Anthony Kasdorff
Brandon Goyer (winner via submission, arm bar 1st round) vs. Andrew Smith
Brett Duncan vs. Jacob Montalvo (winner via guillotine 1st round)
Stephon Flodd (winner 2nd round rear-naked choke TKO) vs. David Higgs Co-Main Event
Dave Brock (winner 1st round knockout) vs. Mike Miller Main Event
Our hats off to those warriors that competed last night! They came ready to impress and that they did. These fighters looked in top shape and they all battled until the end. Congratulations to the winners and to those that did not come out victorious, just because you may not have won you took the time to train and step in the cage and give it your all. We hope to see everyone at future events.
