ISKA Withdraws Sanctioning Of Spirit FC 2

We wanted to bring you the official release from ISKA as they were compelled to pull sanctioning from Saturday nights Novermber 23, 2013 amateur MMA event, Spirit FC II. We Have reached out to Spirit FC to see if they could shed any light on this situation and as the time of posting this we have not heard back from them.

Johnny Hendricks Takes A Shot At Georges St-Pierre On AXS TV's Inside MMA

Johnny Hendricks talks about his controversial loss to Georges St-Pierre and Rich Franklin confirms his plan to fight one last time during an interview AXS TV’S INSIDE MMA with series hosts Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten.

St-Pierre may have trouble sleeping, but Hendricks doesn’t care and wants a rematch after the controversial decision at UFC 167 last week. In his interview with INSIDE MMA’s Ron Kruck, Hendricks criticized the current UFC welterweight champion, who complained about lack of sleep leading up to the fight.

Said Hendricks:

“Dude I’ve got three kids. You know what I’m saying? Talk about sleep? Are you kidding me? Everybody’s got problems in life. That’s the way it is. If you can’t handle being champion, give it up. We chose to get into that octagon, we chose not to sleep. I don’t know how many times I’ve went to bed at five, six o’clock in the morning and woke up at 10, running four miles because I wanted to beat GSP that bad. Dude, who cares. I chose this life. Tell yourself whatever you need to. Just get back in that octagon with me. I can’t wait for the rematch.”

WIMMA Exclusive: Dave "The Warrior" Brock Making A Come Back!

**Please Note: Any discouraging comments, threats, or bad mouthing about this post will not be tolerated. We were given this exclusive out of trust and as a reputable amateur MMA news site and we are treating it as such. We have done a lot of work to make sure ALL facts are factual. We are here for the sport to include everyone. Thank You Scott.

By the title I realize there isn’t much left to talk about, but there is. After meeting with Dave Brock’s camp and trainer David Woodby we have confirmed Brock will be making his way back into the cage around February 2014. Now this may sound like a long time away but after reading over the doctor reports Brock was facing serious health concerns, serious really isn’t even a good word for what was going on with his health, but we can tell you this he has been cleared 100% by his doctors and will begin training again today, YES today.

Now it seems like a long time away and why so much training? He was so sick for a period he wasn’t even able to talk for any period of time, walk without losing his breath, he was a mess. He even held off so long prior to his rematch with Joe Bagley thinking he was OK, but he wasn’t, because during the week leading up to the fight he was seen by numerous doctors and all said the same thing, under no circumstance can you step into the cage, and that is when Dave came to terms with the doctors decisions (with help from his camp letting him know he can’t even say three words without being winded) he just couldn’t fight.

So what does this mean for the amateur MMA world? Well fans, Brock is making his comeback, he has come to terms with his lose, he has been through hell and back and from what we are being told he is focused and hungry, hungry to step back into the cage and give the fans what they want, Dave “The Warrior” Brock’s comeback.

Michael Bisping And Tim Kennedy Exchange Verbal Punches

The drama continues between Tim Kennedy and Michael Bisping, this time it is on live TV as Kennedy responds to Bisping calling him out during an interview on tonight’s INSIDE MMA with series hosts Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten. In another exclusive, Brian Ebersole gets something off his back in preparation for his UFC 167 fight.

Rice and Rutten interviewed Kennedy to discuss a Twitter feud he had this week with Bisping. During the interview, he responds to an exclusive video that Bisping sent INSIDE MMA.

Said Bisping:

“So Wednesday night Tim Kennedy knocked somebody out and ever since then, he’s been calling me out. To be honest, he’s been calling me out for years now and I’m a little bit tired of it so Tim, if you want to fight, you know where to find me. Call the UFC if you’re man enough and let’s get it on. I’ve been in the UFC for 8 years and I’ve never turned downed an opponent yet. When you were in basic training shining shoes, I was kicking ass in the UFC so if you think I’m intimidated by you mate, come on, get a grip, it’s a little bit silly if I’m honest”

Said Kennedy:

“Thank God we have had soldiers shining shoes since 1775 so we don’t have to sound like how that dude sounds. You know, that’s horrific. Additionally, he’s been in the UFC for 8 years, I’ve been in the UFC for 6 months and I’m in the same position as he is… Go get a couple wins and then come and talk to me Bisping. Additionally, yeah I have something against him. He’s a dirty fighter. He eye-pokes, knees downed opponents, and he spits on their corners. He complains about guys doing TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy), but truthfully, the things that he does in the cage are even worse. I haven’t been calling him out, I’ve been pointing out that he’s a dirty fighter and he takes offense to that. So hey, you can rest assured I called the UFC, and I was like, ‘I want to fight Bisping. I want to monkey stomp him.’ I don’t care where I do it. As long as he fights a clean fight, he has no chance…. I’d love to fight that guy and it’s going to happen.”
