Brian Beaury has accomplished a feat that people that have been practicing the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can only dream of and that is making it to Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu Jitsu Championship, taking place April 15-19, 2014 at the FGB Arena at Zayed Sport City in Abu Dhabi. The first UAE Jiu-Jitsu Championship event was held in April of 2009 in Abu Dhabi at the Tennis Court Zayed Sports City. Both events were held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The Chairman of the Championship and Emirates Jiu Jitsu Team is His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Championship events were attended by the Crown Prince, HH Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed, HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Tahnoon, HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Mohamed and HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Mansour in 2010.
The 2014 Abu Dhabi World Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship (WPJJC) will consist of 10 qualifying events being held around the globe. This insures the main championship event in Abu Dhabi will attract the best athletes in the sport.
In 2011, Americas Pro Jiu-Jitsu was asked to help organize and promote professional trials in the United States and Mexico. Americas Pro Jiu-Jitsu is proud to bring you this year’s USA Abu Dhabi World Pro West / California and East / New York Trials.
As you read, but may not realize this is the Super Bowl for those that are well versed in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and saying it is the Super Bowl is actually an understatement.
